Willis Hale, 74, of Hamburg, died Wednesday, August 29, 2018. Mr. Hale was a native of Portland and a resident of Hamburg for over 40 years. Mr. Hale worked for Georgia-Pacific in Paper Mill Operations for over 40 years, and he was the owner and operator of Hales Septic Tank Service and Portable Toilets for over 25 years. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and deer hunter.
He is preceded in death by his wives, Patricia Ann Williamson Hale in 1986, and Patricia Hale in 2015; his parents, Brady and Elizabeth Austin Hale; a sister, Mary Keech and a brother, Marion Hale.
He is survived by a son, Mickey Hale of Hamburg; a sister, Norma Jean Trout of Palestine, Texas; a sister-in-law, Barbara Hale of Lake Village and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Friday, August 31, 2018, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Newberry officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Pallbearers are Emory Austin, Don Williamson, Tommy Sivils, Morris Richardson, Jerry Jeffers and Bobby Foster. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
