Thomas “Tommy” Browning, 50, of El Dorado, died Sunday, February 25, 2018. Mr. Browning was a native of Benton; a resident of El Dorado for the past two years and a former resident of Hamburg for many years. He was a 1986 graduate of Benton High School. He worked for the El Dorado Water Department and formerly worked for the City of Hamburg. He was a member of the Egypt Missionary Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his boys and granddaughter and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Lee Williams-Browning in 2015; his father, Ordis William Browning and his step-father, Charles “Bones” Wright.
He is survived by his wife, Jamie Leveritt Browning of El Dorado; four sons, Thomas Dustin Browning and wife, Mikayla, Zachery Browning, Bradley Leveritt and Keaton Griffith all of El Dorado; his mother, Joyce Griffin Wright of Hamburg; a sister, Jan Wright of Benton; three brothers, Will Browning and wife, Melanie, Wayne Wright all of Hamburg and Elvis Wright of Benton; a granddaughter, Kimberly Paige Browning and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Micah Carter and Bro. Richard West officiating. Burial will be in the Promise Land Cemetery. Pallbearers are David Summerville, Andy Riels, Gary Price, Clyde Hood, William Browning and Dwight Smitty. Honorary pallbearers are the employees of both the El Dorado Water Department and the City of Hamburg. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
