Sophie Adams

Sophie Adams, 76, of Hamburg, died Sunday, September 8, 2019, in Monroe, Louisiana.  Mrs. Adams was a native of Korea and a resident of Hamburg for the past 44 years.  She was a homemaker, and worked for the Hamburg Shirt Factory for over 20 years. She attended Tillou Baptist Church.  Mrs. Adams loved to sew, crochet, and knit a lot, and she enjoyed fishing and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Glen Adams in 1982; her parents, E. Yun and Da Sun Hwang Kwon and a brother.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Adams Fulgham and husband, Terry, and George Allen Adams all of Hamburg; her sister, Sukie Simpson and husband, Mel, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Chelsea Stanley, Miranda Mercer and husband, Brooks, Shawn Fulgham and wife, Leslie, Glen Adams and Nick Adams and three great-grandchildren, Sam, Brandon and Morgan.

Memorial services are 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2019 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Mercer officiating.  A private burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
