Sherry Stanley Jeffers

Sherry Stanley Jeffers, 67, of Hamburg, died Sunday, November 19, 2017.  Mrs. Jeffers was a native and life long resident of the Shiloh Community outside of Hamburg.  She was a 1967 graduate of Fountain Hill High School.  She worked for the Georgia-Pacific Corporation for 25 years and the Hamburg Shirt Factory for 23 years.  She was a member of the Eden Baptist Church, a former member and drummer of the Good Times Band and she loved going deer hunting and playing Bunko and Bingo.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Jeffers Barnett in 2015; her parents, Nat and Madie Slaughter Stanley; a brother, Clancy Stanley and three sisters, Elvie Price, Vera Tollison and Anice Allen; father-in-law, Woodrow Jeffers; four brothers-in-law, John Jeffers, Jack Shockley, Bob Doggett and Ed Greer; two nieces, Tammy Bolin and Vickie Greer.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Conley James Jeffers of Hamburg; a daughter, Belinda Kay Jeffers of Lacey; a son, James Michael Jeffers and wife, Karla, of Hamburg; four sisters, Mary Craig and husband, Jesse “Shorty”, of Hamburg; Linda Ray Shockley of Monticello, Evelyn Greer and Violet Doggett both of Midland, Texas; five grandchildren, Emmitt Jeffers,  Kayla Barnett, Laura Barnett, Hayden Stafford and Tyler Stafford; a son-in-law, William Barnett; her mother-in-law, Bonita Jeffers; four sisters-in-law, Carolyn Jeffers, Virginia Bowman and husband, Bobby, Mary Ivey and husband, Charles, Jeanette Jones and husband, Jimmy; three brothers-in-law, James Allen, Gary Jeffers and wife, Vanice, and Larry Jeffers and wife, Tolisa and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.

Graveside services and burial are 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in Hollis Chapel Memory Garden with Bro. J.W. Dobbins officiating.  Honorary pallbearers are Clint Jeffers, Ace Jeffers, Tony Craig, Joey Meeks, Stan Craig and John Paul Jeffers.    

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
