Ruth Bates Jeffers

Ruth Bates Jeffers, 71, of Snyder, died Monday, July 8, 2019.  Mrs. Jeffers was a native and resident of the Trafalgar Community, North of Snyder, for most of her life and was a 1966 graduate of Hamburg High School.  She worked at the Hamburg Shirt Factory for over 25 years and was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church. Mrs. Jeffers loved her daughter and her grandsons and was an avid dog lover.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dewitt and Elsie Gwin Bates and a sister, Betty Ann Rowe.

She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Minga, and husband, Thomas; a sister, Kay Bates, all of Snyder; two grandsons, Alexander Minga, and John Minga; a nephew, Walter Rowe and a niece, Vlissa Rowe.

Graveside services are 10 a.m., Thursday, July 11, 2019, in the Trafalgar Cemetery with Bro. Larry Donaldson and Bro Sammy Land officiating.  

Visitation will be 9:45-10 a.m., Thursday at the cemetery.
