Roy D. White, Sr., 69, of Hamburg, died Sunday, November 17, 2019, at his home. Mr. White was born and raised in Bastrop, Louisiana, a resident of Hamburg for the past three years and a former resident of Crossett for many years. He graduated from Bastrop High School in 1969. Mr. White worked for the Georgia-Pacific Corporation for 47 years. He was an avid horseman, enjoyed riding horses, was always the trail boss and was a member of the Crossett Riding Club.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jessie and Allie Mae Wyatt White and nine brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Denney White of Hamburg; two sons, Roy D. White, Jr. and wife, Mandy, and Heath Allen White both of Crossett; a step-son, Josh Cossey and wife, Georganna, of Hamburg; two step-daughters, Becky Landry of Baton Rouge and Roxie Orr and husband, Brad, of Niceville, Florida; a brother, Sidney Douglas “Bo” White and wife, Gail, of Culleoka, Tennessee; a sister, Gladys Perot of Crossett; 12 grandchildren, Kelsey, Callie, Brandon, Vance, Caleb, Elijah, J.D., Quint, Reace, Aryee, Sela and Annalee and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home. A private service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Crossett Riding Club, PO Box 1720, Crossett, AR 71635.
