Robert “Bobby” Peterson, 73, of Hamburg, died Saturday, April 27, 2019, in Little Rock. Bobby was a resident of Hamburg for most of his life and a 1964 graduate of Hamburg High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Vietnam Era, and he worked for the Georgia-Pacific Corporation for 35 years. Bobby was an avid fisherman and loved nothing more than spending his time trolling the lakes and backwaters of Southeast Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Katie Mitchell Peterson; six sisters, June Livingston, Charlene Wells, Sallye Taylor, Martha Fleming and two sisters who died in infancy.
He is survived by a brother, Fred Peterson of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; a brother-in-law, Frank Taylor of Hamburg; three nieces, Kathy Sherwood, Lynda Taylor, and McKenzie Olsen; two nephews, Mitchell Taylor and David Livingston, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.
It was Bobby’s request that he be cremated and a time of visitation and remembrance will be 2-4 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2019, at Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home. Memorials may be made in Bobby’s memory to your favorite charity.
