Philip Lauhon, 68, of Hamburg, died Thursday, August 31, 2017 in Little Rock. Mr. Lauhon was a native and life long resident of Hamburg and a 1967 graduate of Hamburg High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam Era. He was a cattleman, a rice and soybean farmer and a member of the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping with his family and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Dorothy Stell and E. H. Fox, his father and step-mother, Harry & Mary Alice Lauhon and a step-brother, Lavell Daugherty.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Hilda Byrd Lauhon; two daughters, Amy Hartshorn and husband, Andrew, of Hamburg and Vickie Lauhon of Little Rock; two brothers, Dale Lauhon and wife, Martha, and Gerald Lauhon and wife, Betty, all of Hamburg; two step-brothers, David Daughtery and wife, Cathy, of Searcy and Charles Daughtery and wife, Jean, of Dallas, Texas; a grandson, Hagan Philip Hartshorn and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and interment are 2 p.m., Sunday, September 3, 2017 in the Promise Land Cemetery with Bro. Josh Luellen officiating. Memorials may be made to the Hospice Home Care, ATTN: Sue Edwards, 2200 Bowman Road, Little Rock, AR 72211 or the Arkansas Children’s Hospital, 1 Children’s Way, Little Rock, AR 72202.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
