Peggy King Woods

Peggy King Woods, 75, of Crossett, died Thursday, July 20, 2017 at her residence.  Mrs. Woods was a native of Hamburg and a resident of Crossett for over 30 years.  She was a Baptist and attended Southside Baptist Church in Hamburg.  She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Max E. Woods in 2015; her parents, William “Bill” & Ruth Geneva “Moma King” Norrell King; a brother, Billy King; four sisters, Nancy Gail Barnett, Mary Smith, Vickie King and Susan Savage.

She is survived by three daughters, Denise Tourdot and husband, Pete, of Bryant, Freda Seago and husband, Darren, and Lisa Ricks all of Columbus, Mississippi; two sons, James Ricks and wife, Brenda, of Russellville and Micah Woods and wife, Mary, of Crossett; two brothers, Bruce King and wife, Darlene, of Hamburg and Reggie King of Fountain Hill; three sisters, Barbara Woods and Dixie Fairchild both of Hamburg and Patty Griffith of Fountain Hill; six granddaughters and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 10 a.m., Monday, July 24, 2017 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carlton White officiating.  Burial will be in the Carlock Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Dean Fairchild, David Woods, Cody King, Freddie McNeil, Stacey Pamplin and Joseph Savage.  Honorary pallbearers are Terry Martin, Dakota Savage and Christopher Smith.  

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
