Ola Hudson Land, 73, of Crossett, died Friday, September 14, 2018. Mrs. Land was a native of Bastrop, Louisiana and a resident of Crossett for the past 54 years. She graduated from Bastrop High School in 1963, and she was a Baptist. She worked for the Georgia-Pacific Corporation for 38 years, having retired in 2007. Mrs. Land was a quilter and a wonderful seamstress. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, traveling, was an avid animal lover and loved her dogs.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Kathryn “Kathy” Land Brown in 2017; her father, G.W. Hudson; her mother, Myrtis Harper Hudson and her step-mother, Auline Hudson.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James Land of Crossett; her children, Susie Haseloff and husband, Robert, of Brandon, Mississippi; James Land, Jr. and wife, Casey, of Crossett and Gregory Winn and wife, Nicole, of Strong; her sisters, Gayle Veazey of Bastrop, Louisiana, Barbara Stoll and husband, Jim, of Humble, Texas and Janie Listar and husband, Steve, of Crossett; her brothers, Sonny Hudson and wife, Brenda, of Sterlington, Louisiana and Walter Sebren of Oil City, Texas; six grandchildren, Zack Land, Victoria Land, Jonathan Winn, Dillan Brown, Charles Winn and Vance High and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services and burial will be 2 p.m., Sunday, September 16, 2018, in the Crossroads Cemetery with Bro. Jim Stoll and Mike Emanuele officiating. Pallbearers are her grandchildren. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, PO Box 1000, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
