Norma Jean Jeffers McKee, 93, of Crossett, died Thursday, August 29, 2019, in Crossett. Mrs. McKee was a native of Ashley County, a resident of Crossett for many years and a former resident of Hamburg and Phoenix, Arizona. She was a nurse and worked at the Hamburg Nursing Home for a number of years. Mrs. McKee was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Monticello. She was a wonderful artist, played the organ and piano, and was a member of the Ashley County Harmonetts.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Orvis McKee in 2009; a granddaughter, Cassandra McKee; her parents, John Calvin and Ollie Maude Knight Jeffers; three brothers, Harold Jeffers, Melvin Jeffers and Donald Glenn Jeffers.
She is survived by her sons, Damon McKee and Dennis McKee and wife, Judy; her daughter, Shannon West, and husband, Mitch, all of Crossett; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, August 31, 2019, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jack Fry and Bro. Daniel Hudgens officiating. Burial will be in the Flat Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers are a Mitch West, Mark West, Greg Stanley, Drew Allison, Damon McKee, and Ragan Hunter.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
