Mary Robinson Wilson

Mary Robinson Wilson, 77, of Crossett, died Wednesday, August 28, 2019 in Crossett. Mrs. Wilson was a native of Portland and was raised in Crossett, where she graduated from Crossett High School.  She was a former resident of Bastrop, Louisiana for many years, having moved back to Crossett 25 years ago. She worked and delivered meals for Meals on Wheels.  Mrs. Wilson loved music, enjoyed painting, fishing and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Dewey "Hux" Wilson in 1999; her parents, Joe Dave and Mary Peoples Robinson and six sisters, Eva Robinson, Marilyn Robinson Millholland, Judy Vining, Betty Mills, Georgia Cooper, and Jane Ann Ward.

She is survived by three sons, Joe Wilson and wife, Karen, of Crossett, Donnie Wilson and wife, Jennifer, of Hamburg and David Wilson of Crossett; her daughter, Lisa Carpenter and fiance, Phillip Stephenson; her brother, Sonny Robinson and wife, Pat, all of Crossett; six grandchildren; Kasi Avery and husband, Chris, Hope Myers and husband, Josh, Jennifer Sanders and husband, Garrett, Cody Floyd and wife, Nicole, Ashley Wilson and Andrea Wilson; seven beautiful great-grandchildren, Bryce Sanders, Blake Sanders, Baylee Jo Allison, Danger Avery, Wyatt Myers, Adelynne Myers and Maykala Floyd; a host of nieces and nephews that brought joy to her life; a dear friend, Russell Coleman and daughter, Teresa, of Alexandria, Louisiana and a special niece, Tammy Murphy and husband, Patrick, of Crossett, who showed Mary true love and compassion.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, August 31, 2019 in the Portland Cemetery with Bro. Keith Boseman officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Terry Mills, Mike Mills, Runt Pettis, Perry Wilson, Matt Spikes and Patrick Murphy. Memorials may be made to the Ashley County Walk for Alzheimer's, 407 East First Avenue, Crossett, AR 71635. 

The family will be receiving friends after the service at the home of Bill Wilson, 428 W. 2nd Street, in Portland.
