Marine Montgomery Love

Marine Montgomery Love, 94, of Birmingham, Alabama, died Saturday, August 10, 2019, in Columbiana, Alabama. Mrs. Love was a native of Wilmot and a resident of Birmingham for the past 25 years. She was a former resident of Memphis, Jacksonville, and Little Rock. Mrs. Love was a bookkeeper and a lifetime member of the Southern Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Marlin Love in 1993; her son, David Love in 1997; her parents, Fred and Mayme Reid Montgomery and her sister, Margaret Hurley.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen Holmes and husband, Lewis, of Hoover, Alabama and Lawanna Griffin and husband, Thomas, of Germantown, Tennessee; her brother, Fred Montgomery and wife, Shirley, of Wilmot; three grandchildren, Michael Holmes of Mobile, Alabama, Caroline Nunnally of Dallas, Texas and Lauren Griffin of Germantown, Tennessee; a great-grandson, Hampton Holmes and four nieces.

Funeral services are 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2019, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Philip Bowles officiating. Burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ricky Barthol, Rick Barthol, Heath Barthol, Earl McCrory, Stephen McKelvey and James C. Ross.  

Visitation will be 11-11:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2019, in the funeral home chapel.
