LD Myers, 73, of Hamburg, died Friday, August 18, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Myers was a native and lifelong resident of Hamburg and a 1961 graduate of Portland High School. He was a Pipefitter and later in his life he started farming. He was a member of the Gardner Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, LD & Dessie Hughes Myers and twin grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda Jones Myers of Hamburg; two sons, Larry Myers of San Antonio, Texas and Jeff Myers and wife, Jennifer, of Hamburg; a brother, Dale Myers of Crossett and a grandson, Jarrett Myers of Fountain Hill.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Sunday, August 20, 2017 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Terry Greenwood officiating. Burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jackie McCain, Robby McCain, J.L. McCain, Ron Miller, Kenny Allbritton and Craig Shackelford. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m., Sunday in the funeral home chapel.
