John Paul Craig, 55, of Longview, Arkansas died Wednesday, July 17, 2019, in Little Rock. Mr. Craig was a native of Crossett; a resident of Longview for over 20 years and 1982 graduate of Crossett High School. He was a barber and owned Johnny’s Hair Design in Crossett. Mr. Craig was a member of the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church and a volunteer Firefighter for the Johnsville Fire Department. He loved spending time outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bro. Roy & Edith Mae Willis Craig and two brothers, David Craig & Keith Craig.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Rita Carpenter Craig of Longview; two daughters, Jessie Livingston and husband, Joseph, of Hamburg and Abby Craig of Longview; a sister, Patricia Martin of Hamburg; a granddaughter, Olivia Mae Craig of Longview and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Cloverdale Assembly of God Church with Bro. Wes Miller and Bro. Jerry Carter officiating. Burial will be in Hollis Chapel Memory Garden. Pallbearers are Norman Lee Swan, Troy Brown, Jeff Pinson, Terry Pippen, Jason Craig, and Steven Martin. Memorials may be made to the University of Arkansas for Medical Science Cancer Center, Office of Institutional Advancement, 401 West Markham Street, #716, Little Rock, AR 72205.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
