JoAnn Miller Christy

JoAnn Miller Christy, 71, of Crossett, died Friday, August 9, 2019 at her residence. Mrs. Christy was a native and lifelong resident of Crossett and a 1965 graduate of Crossett High School.  She worked for the Georgia-Pacific Corporation for 32 years, having retired in 2002 and was a member of the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Christy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and her dog, Baby Girl. 

She is preceded in death by a son, Tony L. Maxwell, Sr; her father, Oliver Miller; her step-father, Ernest Johnson and two brothers, Kevin Miller, and David Miller.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Religh Christy; a son, Carlton Maxwell, Jr., and wife, Suzanne; her mother, LeFreda Norrell Johnson; a brother, James Miller and wife, Patricia, a sister, Martha Herrington and husband, Mike, all of Crossett; three grandchildren, Tony “T.J.” Maxwell, Jr., Caity Cotton and husband, Chris, and Shelby Moffatt and husband, Brandon, and a great-grandson, Cooper Cotton.

Funeral services are 2 p.m., Monday, August 12, 2019, at Cloverdale Assembly of God Church with Bro. Wes Miller and Bro Ricky Tyler officiating. Burial will be in the Carlock Cemetery. Pallbearers are Chris Cotton, Richard Christy, Brandon Moffatt, Leon Christy, Charley Rice, Gary Christy, Kevin Miller, Sr., and Anthony Cockrell.  Memorials may be made to the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church, 132 Ashley Road 15, Crossett, AR 71635. 

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Sunday at the church.
