Jeannette Kilcrease, 73, of Hamburg, died, Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at her residence. Mrs. Kilcrease was a native of Crossett and a resident of the Promise Land Community outside of Hamburg for 50 years. She was a 1965 graduate of Crossett High School and worked for Farmer’s Bank for 30 years. Mrs. Kilcrease was a member of the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, worked with the youth and taught Sunday school.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Obie & Eva Grace Hartsfield Walser and three brothers, Jimmy Walser, Mike Walser, and Johnny Walser.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Hiram Blaine “Buddy” Kilcrease; her sons, Phil Harville and wife, Jenny, Shawn Bates and wife, Becky, Joey Kilcrease and wife, Laurie, Casey Kilcrease and wife, Heather; the daughter that she claimed, Martha Jo Collins, all of Hamburg; two brothers, Byron Walser and wife, Rosie, of California and David Walser of Arkansas; 10 grandchildren, Courtney Smithey and husband, Jamey, Mallory Kilcrease, Ashton Kilcrease, Brayden Harville, Mary Beth Bates, Jayden Estelle, Dawson Bates, Gavin Kilcrease, Jon Michael Bates and Clayton Collins; 3 great-grandchildren, Laney Breedlove, Tylan Smithey and Creed Smithey; two special nephews, Daniel Walser and Jeremy Walser; a very special friend and caregiver, Joann Lauhon and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Friday, January 3, 2020, at the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Josh Luellen and Bro. Trey Emory officiating. Burial will be in the Promise Land Cemetery. Pallbearers are her grandsons, Gavin Kilcrease, Brayden Harville, Jayden Estelle, Dawson Bates, Clayton Collins, Jamey Smithey and Jon Michael Bates. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Haley Creek Boys. Memorials may be made to the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church, Don Kelley’s Playground for Kids, 765 Ashley Road 70, Hamburg, AR 71646.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m., Friday at the church.
