Janice Ann "Lucy" Hoops Obituary

Janice Ann “Lucy” Hoops, 68, of Snyder, died Monday, July 22, 2019, in Little Rock.  Mrs. Hoops was a native of Monroe, Louisiana and was raised in Rayville, Louisiana.  She was a resident of the Snyder Community, east of Hamburg, for the past 14 years and a former resident of Morgan, Arkansas. She was a homemaker, and she worked as an Underwriter for Charter Mortgage and Investments for many years.  Mrs. “Lucy” spent her entire life taking care of others, never expecting anything in return.  With unconditional love, she never failed to put the needs and wishes of her family and friends above her own.  Her children and grandchildren were her life’s passion.  She spent every moment with them like it was her last.  Her selfless and sacrificing nature was evident to all who knew her.  Her door and her heart were always open to everyone.  She enjoyed early morning coffee talks while cooking for her family and friends.  She loved music, dancing, cold weather, and mountain tops.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Helen Williams Stell and a sister, Jean Stell.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bobby Hoops of Snyder; a son, Clayton “Gator” Hoops and wife, Stephanie, of Hamburg; a brother, Kenneth Stell and wife, Judy, of Bryant; three grandchildren, Wyatt Hoops, Dalton Hoops, and Garrett Hoops; three nephews, Chris Wagley, Timmy Wagley and Richard Stell and a niece, Dana Stell.
