Jack Keen, 87, of Crossett, died Tuesday, July 30, 2019, in Crossett. Mr. Keen was a native of Frost Proof, Florida, a resident of Crossett for the past 20 years and a former resident of the Promise Land and Milo Communities in Ashley County. He was a pipefitter, worked construction and worked for Ram, Inc. for over 12 years before he retired. After he retired, he and his wife ran the store at Lake Georgia-Pacific, and he was known for playing Santa Clause at Christmas around Crossett. He taught Hunter’s Education, was a member of the Eden Baptist Church, a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Hamburg Prarie Lodge, #465.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Linnie Jones Keen in 2012; a grandson, Timothy Keen; his parents, Theron and Julia Gray Keen, five brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by two sons, Royce Keen and wife, Brenda, of Crossett, Lyndal Keen and wife, Nita, of Hallsville, Texas; two daughters, Jacquelyne Morgan of Little Rock and Debra Ann Martinez of Crossett; 11 grandchildren, Jason Keen, Jonathan Keen, Justin Keen and wife, Lyanna, Brandin Keen and wife, Mallory, Cory Keen, Kaitlyn Fritz and husband, Tyler, Teresa Wright and husband, Brian, Michaela Robinson and husband, Don, Marissa Martinez, Tyler Morgan and Sean Morgan and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Friday, August 2, 2019 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Martin Hopper and Bro. Willie Thornhill officiating. Burial will be in the Egypt Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jason Keen, Jonathan Keen,, Brandin Keen, Tyler Morgan, Don Robinson and Brian Wright. Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital, 3100 Samford Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71103.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
