Helen Wilcoxon Williamson, 90, of Texarkana, Texas died Tuesday, July 16, 2019 in Texarkana, Texas. She was born March 4, 1929 in Kelso, Arkansas to James Franklin and Albertine Virginia Beavers of Rohrer, Arkansas. Mrs. Williamson was a resident of Texarkana for the past 25 years, a former resident of Hamburg, Arkansas for many years and Crossett, Arkansas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Texarkana, Texas and a former member of the First Baptist Church of Hamburg, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years and a former member of the First Baptist Church of Crossett.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Searcy Wilcoxon, Jr. in 1978, Charles Kinard in 1994, and Joe Williamson in 2009. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by siblings, Bonnie Avery, Frank Sain, Charles Sain, and Willie Mae Milstead.
She is survived by five children, Allen Wilcoxon, and wife, Pat Harrison, of Northport, Alabama, Suellen Williams and husband, Mark, of Easton, Maryland, Shelley Gabbie and husband, Mark, of Texarkana, Texas, Sharon Sampolesi and husband, Ned, of Lake Village, Arkansas and Steven Wilcoxon and wife, Angela, of Sulphur Rock, Arkansas; her brother, James Beavers, Sr. and wife, Jean of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial service followed by reception will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, July 18, 2019 in the Atrium at the First Baptist Church of Texarkana with Rev. Larry Sims officiating. Graveside services are 11 a.m., Friday, July 19, 2019 in the Hamburg Cemetery with Rev. Searcy Allen Wilxocon, IV officiating.
