Faye Parks Knight, 93, of Greenwood, Mississippi, died Saturday, January 18, 2020, at her home. Mrs. Knight was a native of Ida Bell, Oklahoma, a resident of Greenwood, Mississippi for the past 44 ½ years and a former resident of Portland. She owned and operated the Bypass Stop & Shop in Greenwood for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Knight in 1980; a daughter, JoAnn Hambers in 2016; a granddaughter, Sandra Hambers; her parents, Joe C. & Mollie P. Burkes Parks; two sisters, Louise Upchurch and Viola Ricks and five brothers, Elmer, O.D., Marlin, Clarence Edward and W.L. Parks.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie Knight of Greenwood, Mississippi; two daughters, Betty Milholland of Fort Worth, Texas and Linda Pate of Brandon, Mississippi; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are 10 a.m., Thursday, January 23, 2020, in the Portland Cemetery with Bro. Tim Williams officiating.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
