Eliece Gulledge, 87, of Hamburg, passed away at her home on Friday, April 27, 2018 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Gulledge was a native of Houston, Mississippi, a resident of Hamburg for the past 35 years and a former resident of Snyder and Portland. She was a homemaker and a member of the Southside Baptist Church. Mrs. Gulledge enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and dominating everyone when playing domino's. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and was full of love for everyone. She was the diamond in her families ring and she sparkled daily.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Leroy Gulledge; a grandson, Michael Collins; a step-granddaughter, Shanna Spann; her parents, Clifford C. and Rena Faye Turman Prescott; a sister, Claudine Bryant and two brothers, Harold and Charles Prescott.
She is survived by two sons, Rev. Edward Gulledge and wife, Gladys, and Bobby Gulledge and wife, Janie, all of Hamburg; three daughters, Mary Norrell and husband, Jimmy, of Hamburg, Claudia Kinnaird of Johnsville and Clara Wood of Crossett; five sisters, Mary Hicks of Dermott, Annette Brumfeld of Idaho, Elizabeth Thompson of Mist, Norma Burris of Jonesboro and Margaret Mixon of McGehee; three brothers, Randy Prescott of Monticello, Bobby Joe Prescott of Cabot and Norman Prescott of Florida; a sister-in-law, Tiny Gulledge of Hamburg; 10 grandchildren, Paul Gulledge, Pam Gulledge, Amber McCartney, Jeff Norrell, Kelli Gansz, John Freeland, Theresa Ainsworth, Michelle Alacon, Allison Ware and Ashley King; 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren on the way.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Elton and Rev. Edward Gulledge officiating. Burial will be in the Snyder Cemetery. Pallbearers are her grandsons and great-grandchildren, Paul Gulledge, Jeff Norrell, John Freeland, Kyle Felkins, Dillon Felkins, Justin Felkins, Zach Pamplin, Xander Gulledge, Tyler Skeen, Mason Gansz, Caleph Norrell, Tyler Collins, Austin Collins, Garrett Ware, Gavin Ware, Lakota Gulledge and Blayne King. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Saturday in the funeral home chapel.
