Brandi Beth Kersten

June 14, 1977 ~ October 4, 2017 (age 40)

Brandi Beth Kersten, 40, of Hamburg, lost her fight with Diabetes, Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at her residence.  Brandi was a native and life long resident of Hamburg, a 1995 graduate of Hamburg High School and a member of the Hamburg First United Methodist Church.  She loved arts and crafts and enjoyed cooking and preparing lunch for the nurses at the dialysis center.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, H.T. and Regina Pennington Reep and Willfred Kersten.

She is survived by a daughter, Jayda Beth Knight; her parents, Bill & Genie Reep Kersten, all of Hamburg; her grandmother, Mary Beth Lawrence Kersten of Benton; three uncles, Todd Kersten of Poland, Johnny Reep of Little Rock and Randy Reep of El Dorado; two aunts, Ann Kersten Ruffin of Mayflower and Jan Kersten Hood of Benton. 

The family would like to express a special Thank You to James and Sarah Robinson for their love and care of Jayda, and to the doctors and nurses that have helped with Brandi’s care and her fight with Diabetes for the past 32 years.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Hamburg First United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Comer officiating.  A private inurnment will be in the Hamburg First United Methodist Church Columbarium.  Memorials may be made to the Hamburg First United Methodist Church, 202 S Main Street, Hamburg, AR 71646 or to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 15829, Arlington, VA  22215.  

Visitation will be Saturday, October 7, 2017 following the service in the fellowship hall of the Hamburg First United Methodist Church.
