Annette Gober Hopkins, 88, of Hamburg, died Wednesday, June 12, 2019, in Crossett. Mrs. Hopkins was a native and lifelong resident of Hamburg and she worked at the Hamburg Shirt Factory for over 20 years. Mrs. Hopkins was a member of the Maplevale Missionary Baptist Church and a former member of the Corinth Baptist Church, where she taught Vacation Bible School for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, I.M. Hopkins in 1994; two grandsons, Wesley Augustus Withers, II, and Brian Keith Ricks; her parents, Oscar L. and Annie Pamplin Gober and three brothers, Aubrey Gober, Quinton Gober and Bootsie Gober.
She is survived by her daughters, Martha Horn of Hamburg, Debbie Ford and husband, David, of Sterlington, Louisiana and Becky McDonald and husband, James, of Hamburg; three grandsons, Eric Ricks, Coy Ford, and Wesley Withers; six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2019, at the Maplevale Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Carter and Bro. Mike Chain officiating. Burial will be in Pinewood Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Eric Ricks, Coy Ford, Jake Ford, James McDonald, David Ford, and Joey Miller. Memorials may be made to the Maplevale Missionary Baptist Church, 3331 HWY 425 South, Hamburg, AR 71646.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
