Agnes Minga Weems

Agnes Minga Weems, 66, of Lake Village, died Monday, December 24, 2018. Mrs. Weems was a native of Vincennes, Indiana; a resident of Lake Village for the past four years and a former resident of Portland for many years.  She was a 1971 graduate of the Madison-Grant High School in Marion, Indiana.  Mrs. Weems worked as a cook and was a member of Swayze Nazarene Church. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruth Saulmon Greentree.

She is survived by her husband, Keith Weems, of Lake Village; her son, Thomas Minga and wife, Jennifer, of Montrose; a step-daughter, Rachael Gideon and husband, Thomas, of New Castle, Indiana; her brothers, John O. Greentree and wife, Pat, of Boise, Idaho, Randy Greentree and wife, Pat, of Marion Indiana, Joseph Greentree and wife, Della, of Fairmount, Indiana and Jerald Greentree and wife, Glory, of Jonesboro, Indiana; her sisters, Johnetta Hyde and husband, Butch, of Gas City, Indiana and Dawn Kulaga and husband, Bob, of Marion, Indiana; four grandsons, Alexander Jeffers and John Minga both of Montrose, Zackary Gideon and Joseph Gideon both of New Castle, Indiana and 19 nieces and nephews.

Graveside services are 10 a.m., Friday, December 28, 2018 in the Old Union Cemetery with Bro. Larry Donaldson and Steven “Butch” Hyde officiating.  Pallbearers are Nick Rice, Sawyer Hicks, Anthony Williams, Jared Rice, Walter Rowe and Joseph J. Greentree. 

Visitation will be 9:45 - 10 a.m., Friday at the cemetery.
