William T. "Bill" Frazer Obituary

William T. “Bill” Frazer, 80, of Portland, died Friday, February 23, 2024, at the Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Mississippi. Mr. Frazer was a native of Boydell, a resident of Portland since 1972, and a former resident of Montrose and Hamburg. He was a 1961 graduate of Portland High School and attended the Nashville Auto Diesel College. Mr. Frazer was the owner and operator of Bill’s Garage from 1970 until he retired in 2013. He was a Fireman for the Portland Volunteer Fire Department for many years and a faithful member of the Wilmot Church of Christ. Mr. Frazer enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and camping in his younger years. After he retired, he would be in his workshop finishing or starting various wood projects, or traveling.  Mr. Frazer loved nothing more than gathering all his children together for a big meal.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Olive Caskey Frazer; a brother, Kenneth Dale Frazer and two sisters, Gloria Ann Hill and her husband, John, and Jerryl Lynn Corder and her husband, Charles.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Novilla Morgan Frazer of Portland; two sons, Thomas M. Frazer and wife, Phyllis, of Portland and John E. Frazer and wife, Lisa, of Branson, Missouri; a brother, Kevin Frazer and wife, Beverly, of Dermott; a sister, Judy Orton and husband, James, of Pine Bluff; six grandchildren, Allyson Carter and husband, David, Adrianna Pennington, Eric Frazer and wife, Stephanie, Caitlin Frazer McDonough and husband, Tim, Alex Frazer and Brady Frazer; 14 great-grandchildren and a special cousin, Gary Morgan of Portland.

Graveside services are 2 p.m., Monday, February 26, 2024 in the Trafalgar Cemetery with Bro. Charles Fricke and George Utnage officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Thomas M. Frazer, John E. Frazer, Gary Morgan, Alex Frazer, Brady Frazer, George Utnage, Darrell Clifton, and Danny Simms. Memorials may be made to Children’s Homes, Inc. 5515 Walcott Road, Paragould, AR  72450. 

Visitation will be 1:30-2 p.m., Monday at the cemetery.
