Linda Moses Donaldson

Linda Moses Donaldson, 79, of Hamburg, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023, at the Countryside Assisted Living Center. Mrs. Donaldson was a native of Montgomery, Alabama and a resident of the Milo Community outside of Hamburg for most of her life. She was a 1962 graduate of Hamburg High School and a member of the Egypt Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Donaldson was a homemaker, loved to cook, and was a member of the Arkansas Extension Homemakers Council. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed quilting.  Some of her grandchildren’s most precious memories are playing games and cards every time they came to visit. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Charles V. Donaldson in 2022; a daughter, Brenda Wallace in 2013; her mother and step-father, Roxie Sullivan and James Audrey Pogue; her father, Talbert Moses and a brother, Larry A. Pogue.

She is survived by a daughter, Cindy Rice and husband, Tod, of Crossett; a son, Kevin Donaldson of Hamburg; two sisters, Shirley Hollis and husband, Bill, of Gonzales, Louisiana and Ginger Townzen of Nashville, Tennessee; a brother, Steve Pogue and wife, Rita, of Hamburg; six grandchildren, Klent Wallace and fiancé, Lauren Gwin, Shea Wallace and fiancé, Skylar Maxwell, Gage Rice and wife, Hannah, Devin Donaldson, Hailey Donaldson, and Becky Donaldson; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 2 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2023, at the Egypt Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Rose officiating. Burial will be in the Egypt Cemetery. Pallbearers are Gage Rice, Klent Wallace, Skylar Maxwell, Tony Craig, Donnie Rice, and Steve Pogue. Memorials may be made to the Egypt Cemetery Association, c/o Mr. John Laing, 272 Ashley Road 454, Hamburg, AR  71646. The family would like to say “Thank You” to Tammy Adams and her staff at Countryside Assisted Living Center for all of the loving care they gave Mrs. Donaldson.

Visitation will be 1 – 2 p.m., Monday at the church.
