Deborah “Debbie” Grubb, 65, of Hamburg, died Thursday, December 28, 2023, at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. Mrs. Grubb was a native of Lepanto, a resident of Hamburg since 1982 and a former resident of Eudora. She graduated in 1976 from Eudora High School. She had worked for Footes Drug, the Little Pig Restaurant, and the Ashley County Housing Authority for 31 years before she retired. Mrs. Grubb was a member of the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church and was very involved with the Woodmen of the World organization. She enjoyed collecting clocks and birdhouses and working in her yard gardening. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Lynn and Estelle Grayum Moyer.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Max Grubb; two sons, J.R. Grubb and wife, Amy, and Tony Grubb and wife, Tiffany, all of Hamburg; four sisters, Carolyn Mooney of Hamburg, Janie Duckworth and husband, Ray, of Eudora, Sherry Hayes and husband, Rusty, of Oak Grove, Louisiana and Mary Harrison of Hamburg; four brothers, Jimmy Moyer of Kilbourne, Louisiana, Ronnie Moyer and wife, Regina, of Lake Village, Kenneth Moyer and wife, Pearlene, of Caraway and Dennis Moyer and wife, JoAnn, of Casa; 10 grandchildren, Chris Ursery, Jasey Bowers and husband, Tanner, Jada Gilbert and husband, Carson, Alex Grubb, Fisher Grubb, Jackson Grubb, Lizzy Grubb, Abby Grubb, Easton Grubb and Belle Grubb and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 3 p.m., Sunday, December 31, 2023 at the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Bodie Spicer and Bro. Dwight Fulton officiating. Burial will be in the Promise Land Cemetery. Pallbearers are Fisher Grubb, Jackson Grubb, Easton Grubb, Chris Ursery, Alex Grubb, Carson Gilbert and Tanner Bowers. Honorary pallbearers are Bob Womack and Mark Thornton.
Visitation will be 2-3 p.m., Sunday at the church.
