Allen Crawford Hogan, 85, of Hamburg, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024. Mr. Hogan was born in Jones, Louisiana on January 22, 1938. He had been a resident of Douglasville, Georgia for the past eight months and was a resident of Hamburg and Fountain Hill for most of his life. Mr. Hogan owned and operated his sawmill for many years before becoming a truck driver and retiring in 1999. He was of the Baptist faith, and his favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing. Mr. Hogan enjoyed watching football, especially the Arkansas Razorbacks and the LSU Tigers. He considered the time he spent with his family as his most precious, and he treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by two daughters, Lynda Hogan Allen and Tammy Hogan Manley; his parents, Julian Evan and Florence Boone Hogan; four brothers, Jule Hogan and wife, Merle, Bud Hogan and wife, Eleanor, Lon Hogan and Babe Hogan; three sisters, Margaret Croswell and husband, James, Frances Lavelle Streeter and husband, Ervin, and Grace Cobb Burchfield and husband, Sherrill.
He is survived by three sons, Richard Hogan and wife, Jaime, of Hamburg, Benjamin Hogan and wife, Wyldeflower, of Villa Rica, Georgia and William Hogan and wife, Schellie, of Atlanta, Georgia; two sons-in-law, Wayne Allen and Ron Manley; two sisters-in-law, Mary Hogan and Elizabeth Hogan; nine grandchildren, Angie Clavet and husband, Buddy, Chance Hogan, Devyn Hogan, Dale Foster and wife, Angie, Michael Foster, Brenda Montgomery and husband, John, Phoenix Hogan, Haylie Crawford and a grandson that has been missing for over six years, Brad Allen; 17 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are 3 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2024 in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Log Cabin, Louisiana, with Bro. Josh Croswell officiating.
