William David “Diamond Jim” Reeves, 76, of Crossett, died Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at his daughter’s residence in Crossett. Mr. Reeves was a native of Martinville, Virginia and a resident of Crossett since 1974. He was veteran of the United States Army. He was an automobile mechanic and he loved to fish and hunt.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Mona Marie Joyce in 2013; his parents, Bill and Hester Keith Reeves; a sister, Rachel Reeves and two brothers, Bobby Reeves and Danny Joyce.
He is survived by a daughter, Stacy Mercer and husband, Ricky, of Crossett; two sons, Shane Reeves of Crossett and Zach Reeves and wife, Justine, of Cabot; a brother, Wayne Joyce of Jacksonville, Florida; two sisters, Mary Strickland of Monroe, Louisiana and Judy Draper and husband, Bobby, of Mayden, North Carolina; 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Georgia-Pacific Pavilion.
