Sorry to hear of Wendell's passing. Wendell was my second cousin; my dad, J.B. Ashcraft, and Ishmael, Wendell's dad, were first cousins. I am a retired federal Agent and in 1959 I was working an investigation in Arkansas and stopped by Ishmael's service station, the first time I had ever met him. He introduced me to his 2 sons who were in the station. After I retired years later, I attended a funeral of one our our Agents in a nearby city and decided to drive to Prescott and I saw Ishmael and his wife for a short while. He resembled 3 of my Ashcraft uncles. Ishmael's father left Brownwood, Mo., around 1913 or so for Prescott.

My condolences to the family.

Bill Ashcraft

Kathy, we learned of Wendell's passing yesterday at church, and was so shocked. This morning, while watching the video, many sweet memories came flooding back from so many happy years growing up on East 1st Street, and all the fun with Wendell. Our hearts are broken for you and your sweet family, but we pray that the peace of God will be upon you all, and you will know there are so many friends praying for you during this time. Wish we could be with you, but health problems prevent it. We love you, Kathy.
