Ronnie Robbins

Mr. Ronnie Robbins, 49, of Bishop, Georgia, died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Robbins was a native of Hamburg; a resident of Bishop, Georgia for the past 17 years and a former resident of Hamburg for many years. Before he moved to Georgia, he owned and operated the Pastime Meat Market in Hamburg and he worked as a dispatcher for Fairfield Trucking in Georgia. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He loved animals and was preceded in death by his dogs Max, Georgia, Gidget and baby Robbins. He loved life, his family and his friends. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and he loved playing the guitar. He was loved by all of his Fairfield Trucking friends as well as the Barnes family.

He is preceded in death by a son, Joshua N. Wright and his father, Fay Robbins.

He is survived by his mother, Colleen Rayborn Robbins; a sister, Debby Robbins Collier and her husband, Billy, all of Hamburg; his companion, Stephanie Diann Barnes of Bishop, Georgia; a nephew, Corey Collier of Hamburg; a niece, Holly Collier Gray and her husband, Drake, of Monticello and two great-nieces, Caleigh Collier and Draylee Gray.

Funeral services are 2 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2012 in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Miller and Rev. Mike Griffith officiating. Burial will be in the Carlock Cemetery. Pallbearers are Boyd Kusterin, Joe Hennington, John Law, Doug Wood, Johnny W. Pierce and Corey Collier. Honorary pallbearers are the following Fairfield Trucking Employees: Davie Holland, Dale Knight, Andy Barnes, Chris Collins, Todd Stiles, Randal Carpenter and Ron Hunsinger and the Hamburg High School Class of 1980. Memorials may be made to the Grace Fellowship Church, 707 N. Grace Street, Hamburg, AR 71646 or to an animal shelter of your choice.
