Roger Stephen Hayden, 64, of Crossett, died Monday, February 13, 2017 in Mena, Arkansas. Mr. Hayden was a native of Crescent City, California and was a 1970 graduate of Crossett High School. He was a former resident of Fordyce and Nashville having moved back to Crossett 10 years ago. He was a member of the Arkansas National Guard and he worked in the lumber industry for many years. He loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, but spending time with his daughters and grandchildren was his passion. His hobbies include riding motorcycles, going on toy drives, and traveling. Mr. Hayden was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
He is preceded in death by his father, Roger Hayden in 1999.
He is survived by four daughters, Shana Marquis and husband, Tony, of Benton, Louisiana, Jennah Hayden Bennett and husband, Brian, of Nashville, Ashley Hayden of Houston, Texas and Kristina Hayden of Rogers; his soul mate, Rebecca Novak Hayden of Huntsville, Texas; his mother and step-father, Claudia Wigley Hayden Hatcher and Tommy Hatcher of Belcher, Louisiana; a brother, Mike Hayden and wife, Connie, of Natchitoches, Louisiana; a sister, Marlys Ellen of Cotter; three grandchildren, Madison, Macy & Presley and one due in May, Reese and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services are 10 a. m., Friday, February 17, 2017 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Father George Hart officiating. Burial will be in the Flat Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers are Chris Hayden, Nick Stransky, Kyle Gunn, Gary Carpenter, Jason Moore and Kevin Rial. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 1610, Little Rock, AR 72203..
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
