Roger Keith CraigNovember 15, 1955 ~ May 10, 2017 (age 61)
Roger Keith Craig, 61, of Crossett, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. Mr. Craig was a native and lifelong resident of Crossett. He graduated from Fountain Hill High School in 1973. He worked for the Georgia-Pacific Paper Mill for 36 years, having retired in 2003. He was a former member of the Crossett Rescue Unit for over 20 years and a member of the Hollis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and loved to grill for his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bro. Roy and Edith Mae Willis Craig and a brother, David Craig.
He is survived by his daughters, Amanda Craig and Angie Craig both of Crossett and Jennifer Haen and husband, Michael, of Hamburg; a son, Brad Howie of Crossett; a brother, John Paul Craig and wife, Rita, of Longview; a sister, Patricia Martin and husband, Jimmy, of Hamburg and five grandchildren Amber, Austin, Jase, Helen and Michael Jr.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Hollis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Carter and Bro. Don Justice officiating. Burial will be in the Hollis Chapel Memory Garden. Pallbearers are Phil Kelley, James Robert Meeks, Michael Knight, Tony Craig, Steve Craig, Jason Craig, Steven Martin and Lane Kelley. Honorary pallbearers are Macky Rice, Lee Allen, David Davidson, members of the Crossett Rescue Unit and co-workers at Georgia-Pacific Paper Mill. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
