Ricky Ross, 52, of Hamburg, died Monday, January 23, 2017 in Union County. Mr. Ross was a native and life long resident of Hamburg. He was a truck driver for J. Lauhon Logging for the past 13 years. He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and loved to spend time with his family, friends and especially his granddaughters.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Edith Sivils Oliver, his father, Jesse Ross and a brother, Billy Oliver.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Carolyn Goodwin Ross of Hamburg; two daughters, Haley Hall of Hamburg and Jessica Ashley Kent and husband, Rusty, of Eros, Louisiana; two brothers, Jeff Ross and James Oliver both of Hamburg; a sister, Linda Hall of Maumelle and five grandchildren, Melana Nix, Aaryn Hall, Ashlyn Irons, Cody Lane Kent and Brantley Kent
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2016 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gary Carter officiating. Burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery. Pallbearers are Rusty Kent, Jake Ross, Johnny Oliver, Mark Oliver, Timmy Oliver, William Denmon and Aaron Denmon. Honorary pallbearers are employees of J. Lauhon Logging. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 N. University Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72207.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
