Rickey D. Middlebrooks

            Rickey D. Middlebrooks, 52, of Crossett, died Saturday, July 4, 2015 at his residence.  Mr. Middlebrooks was born in a pickup truck in Bastrop, Louisiana on September 3, 1962.  He was a resident of Beekman, Louisiana until six years ago when he moved to Crossett.  He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Crossett for the past 12 years.  He was a member of the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church and the Curran Hunting Club.  He loved spending time with his family and he loved to cook and grill for everyone.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially with his nephews, Dustin and Slade Curran.

            He is preceded in death by his parents, James “Tinsy” and Dorothy Mae Tharp Middlebrooks; his grandparents, Clem Byrd and Minnie Harris Middlebrooks and Gus and Laura Annie Worley Tharp and his brother-in-law, Kevin Curran.

            He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Darlene Curran Middlebrooks; a daughter, Cheyenne White and the apple of his eye, his granddaughter, Aleigha Miller all of Crossett; two sisters, Vickey Reynolds and husband, Bailey, of Crossett and Laura Hunter and husband, Robert, of Beekman, Louisiana; three brothers, James Gus Middlebrooks and wife, Sue, Johnnie Middlebrooks and wife, Dee Dee, all of Beekman, Louisiana and Roger Middlebrooks and wife, Trudie, of Bastrop, Louisiana; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He was loved by all.

            Funeral services are 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church with Bro. John Martin and Bro. Buddy Kinney officiating.  Burial will be in the Hughes Chapel Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Mike King, “Brother” Thomas Musgrove, Michael Knight, C.W. Tyson, Bo Howard and Mike Carpenter.  Honorary pallbearers are the City of Crossett Employees, Ray Middlebrooks, Robert Hunter Ricky Lynn, Dustin Curran and Cody Middlebrooks.

 Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Monday at the church.
