Raymond Dean Sims, 83, of Wilmot, died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Sims was a native of Parkdale, a resident of Wilmot for the past 30 years and a former resident of Fort Worth, Texas. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. He worked for Ford Motor Company as a sales representative for many years. He was a member of Bonita Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas O. and Gella Coatney Sims; two brothers, Reginald and Ray Sims; two sisters, Juanita Collins and Fern Riggs and a nephew, Tommy Sims.
He is survived by a brother, Robert Sims of Wilmot, two nephews, James R. Sims and wife, Dianna, of England and Randy Riggs and wife, Stacy, of San Antonio, Texas; a great-niece, Rebecca Riggs and a great-nephew, Robert Riggs.
Graveside services and burial are 10 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Wilmot Cemetery with Bro. Carlos Pitts officiating.
