Randy Shaver

            Randy Shaver, 50, of Fountain Hill, died Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello.  Mr. Shaver was a native and lifelong resident of Fountain Hill and a member of the Fountain Hill United Methodist Church. He loved going to church and sharing his faith.  He loved people and he enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, and cooking.

            He is preceded in death by his parents, William Anderson (Sonny) Shaver and Nancy Alice Savage Shaver; his grandparents, H.A. and Hortense Shaver and Joe and Sally Savage.

            He is survived by his wife of 8 years, DeAnne Edmoundson Shaver of Fountain Hill; two daughters, Holly Shaver West and husband, Jeremy, of Beekman, Louisiana and Whitney Goudy and husband, Justin, of Fountain Hill; two step-sons, Blake Overbey of Crossett and Chad Overbey of Fountain Hill; a brother, Bobby “Skip” Maxwell of Fountain Hill; two sisters, Gena Vail of Hamburg and Connie Clark of Monticello; two grandchildren; a grandson in 3 weeks and several nieces and nephews.

            Graveside service and burial are 2 p.m., Friday, October 30, 2015 in the Flat Creek Cemetery with Sis. Cheryl Slocum and Bro. Eddie Dean Savage officiating.  Pallbearers are Bruce Meeks, Mike Ricks, Darren Clark, Shannon Watt and David Lyons.  Honorary pallbearers are the Hudson’s.  Memorials may be made to the CARTI Foundation, PO Box 55011, Little Rock, AR  72215. 

            The family will receive friends Thursday evening at the Fountain Hill First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
