Pauline Martin

                Pauline Martin 89, of Hamburg, died Friday, November 6, 2015 at her residence.  Mrs. Martin was a native of Chicot County and a resident of the Martinville community outside of Hamburg for most of her life.  She was a homemaker and she worked in the cafeteria for the Hamburg Public School for 30 years.  She was a member of the Martinville Baptist Church.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she enjoyed fishing, camping and being with her family.

            She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie R. Martin in 1980; a daughter, Peggy Ann Martin; a grandson, Charles Martin; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Martin; her parents, Adolph and Etta Neal Knobloch, seven brothers and seven sisters.

            She is survived by four sons, Carl (Butch) Martin and wife, Gladys, James J. Martin, John H. Martin and wife, Lois, all of Hamburg and Gerald Martin of Gateway; a sister, Ludy Terry of Lake Village; 9 grandchildren, Cindy Yates, Paulette Bowden, John A. Martin, Tina Withers, Kevin Martin, Frankie Martin, Lisa Martin, Jay Jay Martin and Richard Martin; 22 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

            Funeral services are 2 p.m., Monday, November 9, 2015 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home chapel with Bro. James Fleming officiating.  Burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery.  Pallbearers are C.J. McGilton, Clayton McGilton, Kraig Bowden, Blake Bowden, Dakota Martin, Justin Martin, Tyler Graham and Chad Martin.  Honorary pallbearers are John A. Martin, Kevin Martin, Frankie Martin, Jay Jay Martin and Richard Martin.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN  38148-0142.. 

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
