Naomi Kelley Croswell

September 27, 1928 ~ April 19, 2016 (age 87) 87 Years Old

Naomi Kelley Croswell, 87, of Hamburg, died Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado.  Mrs. Croswell was a native and life long resident of Hamburg except for the past 10 years when she lived in Crossett.  She was a homemaker and an active member of the North Crossett First Baptist Church where she taught Vacation Bible School for many years.  She enjoyed working at the election polls and meeting her friends.  She loved working in her daughter and son-in-law’s ceramic shop and in the pro shop at the Unity Road Golf Course.

She is preceded in death by her husband, R.N. Croswell in 1998; her parents, Robert Bailey & Sarah Cunningham Kelley; a brother, Everett Kelley; two sisters, Mable Lee Kelley and Laverne Kelley Collins; a son-in-law, Leslie Hughes and a step-granddaughter, Debbie Jordan.

She is survived by two daughters, Jeanette Fairris and husband, Jerry, of El Dorado and Judy Hughes of Hamburg; two sisters, Ruth Kelley Griffin of Upland, California and Amelia Kelley Kusturin of Vilas, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Jeff Fairris and wife, Kelli, of Hope and Jill Wright and husband, J.B., of Ashland, Massachusetts; 3 great-grandchildren, Rachael Fairris, Jessica Wright and Jeffery Wright; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Cole Fairris and Cisaley McVicker; 4 step-great-grandchildren, Christopher, Shannon, Dylan and Devan; 3 step-great-great-grandchildren, Hope, T.J. & Leigha; her caregiver, Becky Ezell and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses at Stonegate Villa for their care over the years.

Funeral services are 2 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the North Crossett First Baptist Church with Rev. Robin Allen officiating. A private burial will be in Pinewood Memorial Park.Pallbearers are Johnny Upshaw, Denon Cagle, Gale Anders, Mark Guin, Ronnie Rickman and Marvin Spurlock.  Honorary pallbearers are Hubert Knight, Johnny Williamson and Lamar Hill.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Crossett First Baptist Church, 1035 HWY 133 N., Crossett, AR 71635 or to the John R. Williamson Hospice House, 2301 Champagnolle Road, El Dorado, AR 71730.  

 

Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time, Thursday at the church.
