Maxine Downey Pearson, 93, of Crossett, died Monday, June 15, 2015 at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. Mrs. Pearson was a native of Ashley County; a former resident of Houston, Texas for 33 years and a resident of Crossett since 1981. She was a homemaker and a member of the Eden Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John Berry Pearson in 2003; her parents, Calvin & Mary Wood Downey and a sister, Edith Mae Pearson.
She is survived by a nephew, Frank Douglas Pearson of Lacey; a niece, Mary Carolyn Stanley and husband, Roma, of Hamburg and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Elvin McDill officiating. Burial will be in the Flat Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers are her great-nephews and great-great-nephews.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
