Marion Streeter, 80, of Hamburg, died Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Mississippi. Mrs. Streeter was a native and lifelong resident of Hamburg and Ashley County. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Pentecostal Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur William Streeter in 1973; a son, William Earl Streeter in 2009; her parents, Doc and Lovettie Pruitt Slaughter; two brothers, Buddy and John Slaughter and six sisters, Shirley Dehart, Estelle Griffin, Alvie Nelms, Ruby Caine, Martha McDaniel and Agnes Slaughter.
She is survived by a son, Billy Streeter and wife, Susan, of Crossett; four daughters, Nancy Zendejas and husband, Jose, of Fountain Hill, Louise Wright and husband, Donnie, of Ozark, Erma Whisler and husband, Richard, of Crossett and Marilyn Navarijo and husband, Desiderio, of Hamburg; a brother, Bobby Slaughter of Hamburg; a sister, Barbara Kirkland of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Trafalgar Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jeff Ward, Twig Hernandez, Donnie Wright, Wayne Pamplin, Freddy Mack Martinez, Timothy Whisler and Lee Wright. Honorary pallbearers are Jose Zendejas and Ronald Wright. Visitation is 6-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
