Ken Taylor, Jr., 54, of Montrose, died Saturday, March 21, 2015 as the result of an automobile accident. Mr. Taylor was a native of West Monroe, Louisiana; a resident of Montrose for the past nine months and a former resident of Crossett for several years and Longview, Texas for many years. He was a truck driver and a member of the Greggton United Methodist Church in Longview, Texas.
He is preceded in death by a son, Connor Taylor; his grandparents, J.D. & Laura Mae Frazier and Dalton & Lois Taylor
He is survived by a son, Jeffery Taylor and wife, Tia, of Crossett; a daughter, Ashley Taylor and her fiance, Matt Stepherson, of College Station, Texas; his parents, Kenneth Taylor Sr., and Janice Frazier Taylor of Cantonment, Florida (formerly of Crossett); two sisters, Rita Harrison and husband, David, of Cantonment, Florida and Amy Beckett and husband, Steve, of Ozark, Missouri; four grandchildren, Matthew Taylor, Lucas Taylor, Shannon Bond and Katie Bond.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Crossett with Dr. Russell Moore officiating. Visitation will follow the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 500 Main Street, Crossett, AR 71635 or to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1394 Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, Florida, 32514.
