Jose Antonio Mondragon, 87, Hamburg, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. Mr. Mondragon was a native of Michoacan, Mexico and a resident of Hamburg for over 40 years. He was a farmer and a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Silbina Mondragon in 2005; a daughter, Aida Mondragon in 1981; his parents, Gabino & Victoria Talavera Mondragon; two brothers, Melesio & Ramiro Mondragon and a sister, Enedina Mondragon.
He is survived by nine sons, Jose Isidro Mondragon of San Bernardino, California, Froilan Mondragon of Snyder, Jose Genaro Mondragon of Pine Bluff, Francisco Mondragon of Crossett, Hector, Eugenio, Jose, and Cesar Mondragon all of Hamburg and Miguel Mondragon of Little Rock; a brother, Luis Mondragon of California; 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren..
Visitation will start at 6 p.m., with a Funeral Mass at 7 p.m., Friday, August 12, 2016 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Theo Okpara as Celebrant. Burial will be Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Viejo Panteon Municipal Cemetery in Ameca Jalisco, Mexico.
