Jonathan “Jody” Moreau, 43, of McGehee, died Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the McGehee-Desha County Hospital. Mr. Moreau was a native and lifelong resident of Montrose having moved to McGehee two years ago. He graduated from Montrose Academy in 1992. He was a farmer and a member of the Montrose Baptist Church. He was a loving father an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Joseph “Ricky” Moreau in 2015; his grandparents, R.D. Selby and Richard Earl & Ann Masters Moreau.
He is survived by a son, Selby Lane Moreau; two daughters, Anne Reese and Addison Moreau all of McGehee; his mother, Patricia Selby Wright of Bossier City, Louisiana; a sister, Dorissa Moreau Kaufman and husband, Justin, of McGehee; his grandmother, Doris Nelms Selby of Montrose and three nieces.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Montrose Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in the Snyder Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Snyder Cemetery Association, c/o Mrs. Sue Bailey, 126 Honey Hill Loop, Searcy, AR 72143.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m., Friday at the church before the service.
