Howard Ellingsburg, Jr.

Howard Ellingsburg, Jr., 68, of Hamburg, died Monday, December 28, 2015 at his residence in the Martinville Community outside of Hamburg.  Mr. Ellingsburg was a native of Pine Bluff and was raised in Ashley County.  He was a former resident of Pine Bluff for 20 years having moved back to Hamburg this past year.  He loved his grandchildren and he enjoyed hunting, being outside and attending flea markets and yard sales.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Cathey Ellingsburg in 2006; a granddaughter, Madison Renee “Mattie” Ellingsburg in 2012; his parents, Howard and Dorothy Marie Harper Ellingsburg and a brother, Johnny Wayne Ellingsburg in 2005.

He is survived by three sons, John Ellingsburg and wife, Brenda, of Monticello, Robert Ellingsburg and wife, Krystin, and Robbie Ellingsburg and wife, Jessica, all of Hamburg; three daughters, Liz Rodgers and husband, Bruce, of Hamburg, Minnie Tenison of McGehee and Debbie Tenison of Hohenwald, Tennessee; three brothers, Robert Ray Ellingsburg and wife, Mary, Tommy Ellingsburg all of McGehee and Dale Ellingsburg and wife, Diane, of Dermott; two sisters, Linda Teeter and husband, Kelsey, of Dermott and Mary Nelms of Fordyce; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2 p.m., Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Sardis Baptist Church with Bro. Jason Martin officiating.  Burial will be in the Trafalgar Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Butch Murphy, Jeremiah Hayden, Kelsey Teeter, Patrick Paris, Eric Paris and Bruce Rodgers.  

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
