Grace Martin, 90, of Crossett, died Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Stonegate Health and Rehabilitation Center in Crossett. Mrs. Martin was a native of Indianola, Mississippi; a resident of Crossett for the past 52 years and a former resident of Hamburg. She was a homemaker; a member of the Meridian Baptist Church and a former member of the Temple Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Oliver Martin in 1990; two sons, Tom and Jimmie D. Martin; her parents, Bealie Thomas & Eula Mae Sikes Parker and three sisters, Naomi Brewster, Katherine Duke Reeves and Eloise Kellebrew.
She is survived by a son, Glenn Martin and wife, Mary, of Magnolia; three daughters, Joyce Blocker and husband, Bernard, of Jonesboro, Louisiana, Helen Robbins of Crossett and Deannie Johnson and husband, Kenneth, of Greenbrier; two daughters-in-law, Billie Martin of Crossett and Sandy Martin of Goodyear, Arizona; a brother, Malcom Parker of Bastrop, Louisiana; two sisters, Frances Gregory of Bastrop, Louisiana and Peggy Mason of Balch Springs, Texas; 15 grandchildren, Matthew Martin, Jamie Johnson, Brent Blocker, Shawn Blocker, Brian Martin, Shana Edwards, Paula Martin, Tanya Tippen, Laurie White, Brenda Weaver, Johnny Robbins, Kim Webb, Robin Johnson, Amy Booth and Scott Martin; 27 great-grandchildren, Abigail Grace, Isabelle & Katherine Johnson, Alisha & Michael Martin, Olivia & Ben Blocker, Baile Vallery, Madison & Hunter Edwards, Lainey, Jalie & Trapper Tippen, Blake White, Whitney Woods, Chasstity & Taylor White, Chelsey Reed, Johnny Robbins, Hannah, Jonathan & Aaron Webb, Ashton & Amber Johnson, Addison, Ava Grace and Branton Booth; and a host of great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 3 p.m., Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gayle Riles and Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Pinewood Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Brent Blocker, Shawn Blocker, Brian Martin, Robin Johnson, Scott Martin, Mike White, Bubba Edwards, Justin Tippen, Mike Webb and Robbie Booth. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m., Sunday in the funeral home chapel.
