Gayla Clark Sydoriak

November 13, 1954 ~ October 23, 2017 (age 62) 62 Years Old

Gayla Clark Sydoriak, 62, of Crossett, died Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Life Touch Hospice in El Dorado.  Gayla was born in Crossett, raised in Hamburg and was a resident of Crossett since 1981.  After she graduated from Hamburg High School in 1973, she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Education and her Masters of Education degree in Elementary Education from the University of Arkansas at Monticello.  She taught school for 22 years in the Crossett School System at Price Elementary and North Crossett Elementary.  Gayla touched so many lives, not just her students, but their parents as well.  She was loving, compassionate and strong in her faith and a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She felt blessed to have so many wonderful friends and enjoyed attending educational conferences with her friends.  She loved caring for Adam, going to the beach and caring for the family dog, Sadie. Gayla will be missed by her family and friends but the good memory of the loving person she was will live on.

She is preceded in death by a son, Eric Michael Sydoriak in 2013 and her parents, Rev. Orville and Eloise Johnson Clark.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Danny S. Sydoriak; a son, Adam D. Sydoriak; two brothers, Ronnie D. Clark and wife, Bobbi, and Richard L. Clark and wife, Brenda, all of Crossett; a sister-in-law, Dr. Diane Sydoriak of Little Rock; a brother-in-law, Michael Sydoriak and wife, Christine, of Virginia; two nephews and three nieces.

The family would like to thank the staff of Ashley County Medical Center Home Health of Crossett, Hospice Home Care of Monticello and Life Touch Hospice of El Dorado for the loving and compassionate care Gayla received.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Hodge officiating.  A private burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery.
