Eugene Bowles

Eugene Bowles, 51, of Hamburg died Sunday, July 9, 2017 at his residence.  Mr. Bowles was a native of Marrero, Louisiana; a resident of Hamburg for the past 15 years and a former resident of Greenville, Mississippi and Wilmot.  He was a Machinist and had worked at AC Machine in Greenville for 20 years; Ricky’s Welding in Vicksburg, Mississippi and Hamm’s Hydraulics in Crossett.  He also worked in construction, fearlessly climbed radio towers and could fix anything.  He loved his family and was a wonderful provider, loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed making everyone laugh.  He loved his mother-in-law, Pauline Wiggins, and helped take care of her until her death after her battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, René Wiggins Bowles; a son Christopher Bowles; a daughter, Kristy Bowles all of Hamburg; his mother, Diane Klemme Jordan and his father, Randald Jordan of Vicksburg, Mississippi; his father, Jimmy Bowles of Whitewright, Texas; two sisters, Regina Burrough and Tessa Jordan Tate; six brothers, Joe Jordan, Larry Jordan and Jimmy Bowles all of Vicksburg, Mississippi; Anthony Bowles of Greenville, Mississippi; J.D. Bowles and Scotty Bowles both of Texas and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dean Walsworth officiating.   Honorary pallbearers are Matthew New, Alex Gilbert, Jacky Sturdivant, Joshua Gilbert, Zackary New and Kelly Stevens. 

Visitation will be 6 p.m., until service time, Wednesday, in the funeral home chapel.
