Elizabeth Moseley Edwards

Elizabeth Moseley Edwards, of Montrose, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016 at her residence after a short illness.  Mrs. Edwards was a native of Sumter, South Carolina.  She attended the University of South Carolina and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1958. Elizabeth and Jack married in 1958 and after a short stint in Fort Smith while Jack completed his military service, they moved back to Jack’s hometown, Montrose, in Southeast Arkansas where she learned all about the role of a farmer’s wife.  She was an integral part of the family farming operation and also a big supporter of the arts community.  She was a member of the Montrose United Methodist Church.  She never met a stranger and was kind, generous and the life of every social event she attended.

She is preceded in death by her parents, True and Elizabeth Cuttino Moseley.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jack Edwards of Montrose; three daughters, Mary Edwards (Kathy DeNatale) of Atlanta, Georgia, Cynthia Kimbrell (Howard) of Bentonville and Vickie Henning (Mike) from East End; a sister, Mary Ellen Moseley of Atlanta, Georgia; six grandchildren, Jackson Kimbrell of New Orleans, Louisiana, True Kimbrell of Bentonville, Ashley Carpenter (Michael) of Little Rock, Jonathon Henning of East End, Peter DeNatale and Matthew DeNatale both of Atlanta, Georgia.

Graveside services are 10 a.m., Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Pinewood Memorial Park with Stanton Veazey officiating.  Pallbearers are Jonathon Henning, Michael Carpenter, Jackson Kimbrell, True Kimbrell, John Newcome and Tracy Borgognoni.  Memorials may be made to the Guachoya Cultural Arts Center, PO Box 732, Lake Village, AR  71653. 

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
